Defamation and libel policy
Authors are required to obtain written consent to submission for any study that references or discusses identifiable companies, organizations, or individuals.
While the Journal of Sustainable Decisions Intelligence and Optimization (JSDIO) upholds editorial independence and the principle of academic freedom, submissions containing inaccurate, unsubstantiated, or inflammatory statements about companies, organizations, groups, or individuals that could cause harm will not be accepted in their current form. In such cases, authors may be asked to revise the text, or the manuscript may be rejected prior to publication. The journal reserves the right to refuse publication of any material deemed defamatory, offensive, unlawful, libelous, or otherwise inappropriate, including—but not limited to—hate speech and incitement to violence.
Critical evaluations and reviews of products or services are permissible; however, such commentary must remain constructive and evidence-based, avoiding malicious or disparaging language. If any statement published in the journal is subsequently determined to be defamatory, a formal retraction notice will be issued. In certain circumstances, and where legally mandated, the work may be withdrawn from the online version of the journal or book. Additionally, any privileged information obtained through peer review or editorial responsibilities must remain confidential and must not be used for personal advantage.
Authors conducting studies involving identifiable individuals, companies, or organizations are strongly advised to notify the subjects in advance and to secure written consent for publication.
